Casual Street Team Member
Position: Street Team for 101.5 TODAY Radio and WILD 95.3, casual position with no guaranteed hours
Location: Calgary, AB
Compensation: Between $15-$20/hour
Pattison Radio, Canada’s largest western-based Radio and Television Company has an exciting opportunity to get your foot in the door of our Calgary Radio Team.
101.5 TODAY Radio and WILD 95.3 are looking for fun, outgoing, and diverse people to join our Street Team! The Street Team is the face of our radio stations when we are out in the community at on-location remotes, concert events, and more. Even with few events scheduled at this time, we are planning for the return of more events soon.
This is an entry-level position located in the Calgary area. Candidates must be available most Saturdays and Sundays and some weekdays for flexible hours at events. If you want to gain experience in the broadcast, event, or marketing industry; if you want a unique behind-the-scenes look at events; or if you are just looking for a fun way to get some extra spending cash, then this job is for you!
Successful candidates will need to be friendly, energetic, physically fit, technically inclined, feel confident working independently & in team environments, have strong communication skills, be able to problem-solve, think on their feet and adapt to a variety of situations.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented additional safety guidelines and procedures for our Street Team to adhere to. The events we are currently attending may look different than they did before, but the responsibilities of our Street Team remain the same.
Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down of events including heavy equipment like tents as well as technical equipment for on-site broadcasts
- Driving station vehicles confidently and safely including pickup trucks
- Being knowledgeable on both radio stations and representing the station brands in a professional manner
- Animating crowds, attracting attention, engaging and interacting with listeners
- Running on-site contests and handing out swag
- Taking photos and posting on social media
- Working at indoor events as well as outside in all weather conditions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience is an asset
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Street-level promotions experience with the ability to problem solve and deal with adversity
- Self-motivated, energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possesses the maturity to work without supervision in an independent setting
- Proven track record of working effectively within Team environments
- Desire to learn technical aspects of broadcast setups
- Must have a flexible schedule including availability during most weekends
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50lbs
